Gabrielle Royal is the founder and creator of brown boi images. She has four years of experience as a photographer. Currently, Gabrielle works full time as the Programs Manager of the Public Interest Law Center and the Robert L. Bernstein Institute for Human Rights at New York University School of Law. Educated at Texas A&M University and New York Universities, Royal’s graduate research was focused on the intersections of race, gender, and sexuality while in the Graduate School of Arts & Science. She was recently honored, being named one of 100 Black LGBT Emerging Leaders to Watch by the National Black Justice Coalition. Most recently she has presented her graduate academic research at Princeton University, University of North Carolina, CUNY, and the University of Montpellier in France. Her work as a queer woman of color as an administrator in higher education, informs her creative work as an artist.
